Individual Therapy
Our approach to individual therapy is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a scientifically validated method designed to help you understand and reshape your emotional responses. Our process provides a safe, supportive space where you can explore your emotions, identify patterns, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.
One-on-one
How it works
Step 1: Understanding Your Story
We’ll start by exploring your current life experiences and how they’re affecting you and your important relationships. This step allows us to understand your unique story in the context of your world. Together, we’ll look at key moments from your family history, childhood, relationships, career, and any significant life events that have shaped who you are today. By creating this deeper understanding of your story, we can identify recurring patterns and triggers that may be influencing your emotional world.
Step 2: Exploring Emotional Patterns
Next, we’ll start to explore the emotions and experiences that feel most challenging for you. We’ll go beyond surface-level feelings (like anger, frustration, or anxiety) and focus on the deeper, primary emotions that are often hidden underneath. These primary emotions hold important information about your unmet needs and attachment patterns. Together, we’ll work to understand how these emotional experiences formed and how they continue to influence your current struggles.
Step 3: Emotional Transformation and Lasting Change
Through EFT, we’ll focus on helping you access and process primary emotions in a way that promotes growth and healing. The goal is to shift your relationship with your emotions so that they no longer feel like uncontrollable wounds. Instead, your emotions become valuable sources of information that help you feel more confident, present, and connected in your life. This process allows you to move forward with a greater sense of emotional strength, resilience, and self-acceptance.
