Couple Therapy

Our Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples focuses on improving emotional connection, strengthening trust, and fostering lasting intimacy. Relationships often encounter stress, disconnection, and unresolved conflict, but with support, couples can break free from negative cycles and experience deeper, more meaningful bonds.

How it works

Step 1: Understanding Relationship Struggles

We’ll start by talking about the ways in which you’ve been struggling as a couple. Both of you will have the opportunity to share your perspectives on the challenges you’re facing, as well as the strengths you bring to the relationship. This process allows each partner to feel seen and heard, fostering a greater sense of understanding and empathy.

Step 2: Identifying Relationship Patterns

Once we have a clear understanding of your current relationship challenges, we move on to identify the positive and negative cycles that play out between you and your partner. We will explore your relationship’s key moments, attachment needs, and the deeper emotional forces driving your interactions. By identifying these patterns, we can create opportunities for change.

Step 3: Transforming the Relationship Dynamic

Through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we will work to identify your negative pattern(s) and find ways to disrupt these dynamics. Together, we will create new, healthier ways to become accessible, responsive, and engaged with each other's emotional needs. By building emotional safety and strengthening vulnerability, partners become more attuned and present for one another, which leads to deeper emotional intimacy.
